Inaugurated four new projects today in Puducherry:
-Blue Flag Beach, - Amenities Provided at Thirukanchi Temple with Beautification Lights - Spiritual Park at Karaikal -Bharat Park illumination of lights.
Better tourist infrastructure & upgraded amenities at tourist destinations will enhance tourists' experience.
Paid my respects to the Great Saint, Philosopher and an Academician Shri Aurobindo at the Aurobindo Ashram in Puducherry. Meditated in the serene and spiritual atmosphere where the teachings & principles of Aurobindo reverberate.
Visited the Eden Beach in Puducherry which has been recognised as a ‘Blue Flag’ Beach. Inspected tourism related activities being carried out here and discussed various issues with the officials here. Later, hoisted the blue flag at this beach & interacted with local workers.
Visited the flood-hit areas & took the stock of the damage caused by the floods in Puducherry this evening. Interacted with locals & met the officials undertaking relief work.
