Delivered the Welcome Address at the Inaugural of Golden Jubilee Celebrations of North Eastern Council's golden jubilee celebrations in Shillong, Meghalaya today (18-12-2022) in gracious presence of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji and Hon’ble HM Shri Amit Shah ji at Polo Ground, Shillong.Hon'ble PM inaugurated, dedicated & laid the foundation stone of the multiple projects worth Rs.2540 crores encompassing a wide array of sectors at the event. - Inaugurated new Campus of IIM Shillong at Umsawli - Dedicated 1210 4G towers ( 320 completed & 890 under construction) -Inaugurated Shillong - Diengpasoh Road & other 4 Road projects across Meghalaya, Manipur & Arunachal Pradesh - Inaugurated Spawn Laboratory at Mushroom Development Center in Meghalaya. - Laid the foundation stone for 6 Road projects across Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, and Hospitality Convention Center at Tura Hon’ble PM during his address at the public function, emphasized that the govt of India is spending over Rs 7 lakh Crores on developmental projects in the NE Region. PM further reiterated the major initiatives by GoI in the field of sports, air connectivity & agriculture that are giving power to the pace of socio-economic development in the NE states.
